Job Title: Chef

Location: Cooks Hill, Newcastle, NSW

Salary: $65,000 – 70,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Schedule: Permanent Full Time (38 hours per week)

About Us: Autumn Rooms is a vibrant café located on Darby St in Cooks Hill. We are dedicated to providing excellent customer service alongside our seasonal food and specialty coffee menu. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in your designated section, following recipes and presentation standards.

• Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen

• Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes are prepared on time and meet the restaurant’s quality expectations.

• Menu Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and refine menu items.

• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, manage supplies, and ensure that all ingredients are fresh and available

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Culinary school diploma or equivalent training is preferred.

• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Must have the right to work in Australia for at least 1 year.
